BHP’s surveying team had Copilot access like most large organisations do, but access alone rarely translates into a team that knows how to actually automate its own repetitive work, so we delivered a focused, two-hour, on-site workshop covering Copilot fundamentals and broader AI literacy, with the team building their own working agents live during the session rather than just watching a demo.

Problem

Rolling out Copilot licences to a team doesn’t automatically translate into a team that uses AI well. Most people default to treating it like a slightly smarter search bar – asking simple questions, drafting the odd email – without ever discovering the tools that let them automate the repetitive parts of their actual job. For a surveying team fielding the same categories of admin and reporting tasks week after week, that’s a lot of untapped time sitting on the table. BHP didn’t need another generic “intro to AI” presentation.
