NexBilt: Turning 40 Hours of Quoting Work Into 1–3 Hours for Trades and Property Managers
Turning a 40-hour trade quoting job into 1–3 hours, and taking a prototype platform to production.
Colin Bowe runs Unisol Solar & Electrical, and like most small business owners, every hour he spent on quoting, materials data entry, and admin was an hour not spent growing the business, so we embedded with Unisol one day a week and built practical automations directly inside the tools he already uses – automatic job pricing in Pylon, AI-driven bulk materials import, and reusable email and job-notes skills – giving Colin roughly 1–2 hours back every day.

Small trade businesses run on the same admin every large business does – quoting, pricing, materials tracking, emails, job notes – just without the staff to spread it across. For Colin, that meant every job needed manual pricing calculations in Pylon, every new batch of materials or parts had to be entered by hand, and email writing and job notes for contractors were yet another thing squeezed into an already full day. None of it was unusual for a business Unisol’s size, but all of it added up to hours a week that could have gone toward the actual work of running and growing the business.
We embedded with Unisol one day a week under our AI Transformation model – no lock-in, quick wins first – and spent the time identifying and building automations directly inside the tools Colin already uses. That meant configuring Pylon itself to automatically calculate job pricing, using AI to bulk-import materials and parts data rather than entering it by hand, and building two reusable skills: one for drafting emails, one for generating job notes for contractors.
Colin now gets roughly 1–2 hours back every day that used to go into manual quoting, data entry, and admin – time that now goes into running Unisol rather than running its paperwork. The automations are embedded directly into the tools his business already relies on day to day, so there was no new system to learn or adopt.
