Tusk Finance: From Asking ChatGPT Questions to Building Their Own AI Agents, In One Workshop

Brief

We ran an Advanced ChatGPT Training workshop for Tusk Finance’s leadership team, going deep on ChatGPT’s full feature set. The session was hands-on throughout: participants built their own custom agents and ran real Deep Research queries with an AI specialist alongside them the whole way. We also reviewed their existing CustomGPT and mapped the paths to extend it further, from no-code platforms through to custom development. The leadership team left knowing not just what ChatGPT can do, but how to bend it to their own workflows.

Problem

Tusk Finance had the problem most organisations hit about six months into using AI. The easy wins were done. Staff were using ChatGPT regularly and getting genuine value from it, but usage had plateaued at simple Q&A, and a layer of uncertainty was holding the team back from going further. What counts as an appropriate use case in a finance business? Were the CustomGPT agents the team had been experimenting with built properly, or quietly built wrong? And what about the features nobody had touched, Deep Research, Projects, the advanced functionality that separates casual users from power users? The leadership team didn’t want another AI overview presentation. They wanted a deep dive: someone to walk them through everything ChatGPT can actually do, pressure-test what they’d already built, and leave them confident about doing it the right way.

Solution

We delivered an Advanced ChatGPT Training workshop for Tusk Finance’s leadership team, covering ChatGPT’s complete feature set with finance-relevant examples. Rather than watching demos, participants worked through live challenges, building their own custom agents and running Deep Research queries during the session, with an AI specialist on hand to guide and troubleshoot in real time.

• Hands-on from start to finish: every participant built working agents in the session, so the learning walked out the door with them instead of staying in the slides
• A specialist in the room: real-time guidance meant questions got answered and problems got fixed on the spot, not noted for later
• Their actual AI, reviewed: we examined Tusk’s existing CustomGPT and identified concrete options to extend it, spanning no-code and low-code platforms through to custom development
• Appropriate use, settled: clear guidance on suitable use cases for a finance business, replacing organisational uncertainty with a shared understanding

Result

The leadership team left with command of ChatGPT’s core feature set and a clear picture of how to shape it around their own workflows. Every participant built a custom agent during the session, and the team now knows exactly how to extend their existing CustomGPT further, with a roadmap of options from no-code tools to custom builds. Most importantly, the uncertainty that had capped the organisation’s AI usage is gone. The team moved from cautious experimentation to confident, structured use of advanced features, with leadership equipped to set the standard for the rest of the business.
